Gavin Degraw Saratoga Performing Arts Center Concert reviews
Excessively late start
"My experience was fairly disappointed overall. The show started almost 90 minutes late, which is unacceptable. They sent around an email saying to get there early because it was sold out, so people were waiting around for two hours or more. This is not acceptable. They also incessantly played the announcement about not allowing phones. By the time the comedians finally went on, I was tired and annoyed with waiting and listening to the same message over and over. It did not put me in a comedy mood. However, the people who arrived late should have just missed the opening act - that should have started on time and then by the time they were done there would have been enough people for Kevin to go on (I get that they want a full arena for filming the special). On top of all that, when Kevin finally went on, the sound didn't work for awhile. His opening act was also pretty decent. I've seen Gavin Degraw once before. He is always great, although this show was not as good as the one I saw several years ago. I would only recommend people go to the show if they are prepared to have that happen. If a venue can't handle it if a show is sold out, they shouldn't sell out shows. Period."
